Inner Life - Ain't No Mountain (Leftside Wobble Late Night Dub)

First edit of 2011 (I know, I've been a bit slack of late!). This ones an alternative spin on the Patrick Adams produced Jocelyn Brown classic. 9 minutes of dubbed up late night disco shenanigans. Hopefully you'll approve...

A couple of DJ bits for the diary too. For any followers in Florida, I'm playing a maiden set of Chicago house meets disco at the Electric Pickle in Miami tomorrow night (Friday 21st Jan - http://tinyurl.com/6xfudwx ) and then from Sunday through till Wednesday I'm be doing a bit of a Cafe Del Mar number poolside at the Fontainebleau on Miami Beach. On my return to UK you can catch me at Stereo Sleaze in Shoreditch on Saturday 29th Jan - http://tinyurl.com/6ktju2m

Till next time. x

Yothu Yindi - Treaty (Leftside Wobble Edit)

I'm making a selection of personal edits available for download over the next few months to say thank you for the massive support I've seen here and on SoundCloud over the last year or so. They're simple edits on classic tracks that I sometimes include in my sets. The first of which is a classic from the early 90's. Aboriginal chants meets disco samples for a tribal house shake down of epic proportions.
A tad cheesy in places maybe but all the better for it!

Richard Earnshaw - Cry Me A River (Leftside Wobble Mix)

Earlier this year Richard Earnshaw released a critically acclaimed album which has been compared by many to the classic Nuyorican Soul album from the mid nineties. The album sees Richard pull in a team of heavyweight musicians and vocalists including major stars – Jocelyn Brown, Carleen Anderson, Roy Ayers, Ursula Rucker and Kenny Thomas, as well as hand picked newcomers and previous collaborators, Nina Jayne (BMG); Imogen Ryall (One51); Natasha Young (Pure Liberty) and Eric Dillard (Nuwavonic).

This first Leftside Wobble remix from the album is a mellow jazz tinged disco affair - perfect for those deeper more laid back dance floor moments.

Due out towards the end of November.

Master C & J - Face it (Leftside Wobble Edit)

Second edit for DJ History's 'Trax Records' compilation that's coming out this Autumn. This one originally came out on State Street Records in 1987 before being licensed to Trax and to my mind was one of the pivotal Chicago tracks that explored a deeper minimal production style that's been a major influence on 'Deep House' productions ever since.

If your around this Friday I'll be playing a bit of a Chicago selection alongside the modern disco bits @ Big In Japan in Shoreditch: http://www.flyerbug.co.uk/flyers/4031
