I'm making a selection of personal edits available for download over the next few months to say thank you for the massive support I've seen here and on SoundCloud over the last year or so. They're simple edits on classic tracks that I sometimes include in my sets. The first of which is a classic from the early 90's. Aboriginal chants meets disco samples for a tribal house shake down of epic proportions.
A tad cheesy in places maybe but all the better for it!
Forthcoming edit of an Earth, Wind & Fire classic from 1975 (Africano). This is part of a series of edits to come from the Happy Days compilation series that was compiled by Terry Farley & Dave Jarvis.
Earlier this year Richard Earnshaw released a critically acclaimed album which has been compared by many to the classic Nuyorican Soul album from the mid nineties. The album sees Richard pull in a team of heavyweight musicians and vocalists including major stars – Jocelyn Brown, Carleen Anderson, Roy Ayers, Ursula Rucker and Kenny Thomas, as well as hand picked newcomers and previous collaborators, Nina Jayne (BMG); Imogen Ryall (One51); Natasha Young (Pure Liberty) and Eric Dillard (Nuwavonic).
This first Leftside Wobble remix from the album is a mellow jazz tinged disco affair - perfect for those deeper more laid back dance floor moments.
Second edit for DJ History's 'Trax Records' compilation that's coming out this Autumn. This one originally came out on State Street Records in 1987 before being licensed to Trax and to my mind was one of the pivotal Chicago tracks that explored a deeper minimal production style that's been a major influence on 'Deep House' productions ever since.
If your around this Friday I'll be playing a bit of a Chicago selection alongside the modern disco bits @ Big In Japan in Shoreditch: http://www.flyerbug.co.uk/flyers/4031
Over the last couple of years a number of producers have emerged that have captured the spirit of that original Chicago House sound from back in the day; a time when house music wore it's disco influences firmly on it's sleeve. Producers such as Neville Watson, Kink, Hard Ton, Snuff Crew and Shiny Objekts (to name a few) manage to create music that's deep and raw yet still oozes funk and soul.
The 'Acid Soul' series of mixes celebrate this sound and this latest instalment features a bunch of stuff I've been playing in my peak time sets in recent months (including the Carnival after party a few weeks back). It wouldn't be a Leftside Wobble set though without a smattering of edits too, and this features some killer versions of Marvin Gaye and Steve Winwood classics as well as my own recent spin on 'Could Heaven Ever Be Like This'.
As ever, really hope you like. x

Something forthcoming. This ones a deep slice of spacey electro funk - a little different from what I've been doing recently but I've never been one for following musical genre's anyway!
Not sure about a release schedule as yet as I haven't spoken to any specific labels about this one but hopefully some time soon.
Apologies for my silence of late; a combination of increased workload and and other general complications has kept me away from any studio projects for the last 12 weeks or so, but hopefully things are back on track.
This edit is a very late submission to the DJ History Trax re-edit/remix project (many thanks to Mr Brewster for his patience). It was Jamie Principles first release back in 1985 on Persona records which saw a re-release on Trax in 2000. It's a simple slice and dice affair, no overdubs or such like but hopefully an apt take on the arrangement for current dancefloors.
Also of note, the Pocket Angel/Find A Way 12" was finally released a week or so ago (on Autodiscoteque) and has been getting support from the likes of Ashley Beedle, Laurent Garnier, Horse Meat Disco, Popular Peoples Front, Pete Herbert, Red Rack’em, OOFT, Downtown Party Network, Marius Vaareid. So if you haven't picked it up yet it's available at these fine record stores amongst others:
First of many mixes for FutureBoogie who I'm really pleased to say now represent me for DJ bookings and such like. Great place to be too as amongst others they also represent Ashley Beedle, Crazy P, Red Rack'em, Rainer Truby & Yam Who. Further info @ http://www.futureboogie.com/
And for those in London this weekend a quick shout for the Black Rabbit party on Easter Sunday where I'll be DJing alongside Rocky (X-Press 2) Lottie, the Sancho Panza Sound System, Guy Williams and Bones. Further info @ http://bit.ly/b6O9R7

Basaed on an eighties proto house/electro boogie track - You're All Played Out by L.I.F.E. ; this started out as an exercise in (kings of the edit) Latin Rascals edit techniques, took a trip to Detroit for some Motown love and has ended up in a bizarre electric Balearic discothèque!
Also, if you get a chance, head over to http://hermosabeatscartel.blogspot.com/ where you can download a selection of deep techy house mixes, perfect for the day after the night before.
Another genre hopping excursion through deep, tech infused soul that includes a splendid Revenge interpretation of Gwen McCrae's Keep The Fire Burning. Look out for the Less010 project (from those splendid chaps @ OOFT) in the shops about now. Featuring a selection of gems from the Forever In Their Debt series (including the aforementioned Gwen McCrae number) and limited to only 500 copies, get hold of a copy whilst you can.

First mix of 2010 is a revisit to Acid Soul. This is probably as close as I get to a definitive Leftside Wobble selection (joining the dots between dub, funk, disco & house). It's a mid tempo affair (part 3 follows next week which moves into peak time territory) and includes stunners from The Revenge, James Johnson & Motor City Drum Ensemble.
Also check out these cracking video interviews with Harvey, Maurice Fulton & Derrick May. They come from a series of lectures put together by the Red Bull Music Academy, which comes to London from Feb 7th for a month of special events including club nights, lectures & concerts. Something that's forthcoming. This ones an unashamed screamer (featuring a massive Jocelyn Brown chorus), reworked from the Change track, Angel In My Pocket. It's also the first Leftside Wobble collaboration, (done with Guy Williams, one of DJ's behind the Black Rabbit and Reverso parties).
First edit of 2010 and it's a cut of what is probably my all time favourite Curtis Mayfield track - spliced and diced with love into a 15 minute disco monster.
